Editorial Policy

US Tax Tools publishes calculators and explainers for educational use. This policy describes how we write and correct content.

Primary sources first

We prioritize IRS, SSA, CMS, Treasury, CBP, and official state tax agency materials over secondary blogs. Marketing claims about calculator counts come from the live registry in code.

No invented rules

Authors and engineers must not invent brackets, credit amounts, or cutoff dates. If a rule is unclear, we say so and point readers to the agency source.

Natural, specific writing

Insights and glossary entries should be human-readable, year-specific, and unique to the topic. We avoid copy-pasting the same FAQ block across dozens of pages when a tailored explanation serves readers better.

Corrections

If you find an error, email info@toolspopper.com with the page URL and a citation. Material corrections are noted with an updated date on the article or policy page.

Advertising

When AdSense is enabled, ads are labeled by the ad network. Editorial conclusions are not sold to advertisers. Sponsored content, if ever introduced, will be clearly disclosed.

We do not currently rely on tax-software affiliate funnels inside calculator results. If that changes, we will disclose it on this page.
