ToolsPopper · Tax vertical
Built so every estimate can be traced.
US Tax Tools is the US tax calculator vertical of ToolsPopper. We rebuild each tool around year-scoped datasets, pure TypeScript engines, and source-linked explanations — so a 2026 paycheck estimate never silently borrows a 2025 bracket.

How we build calculators
Each published engine keeps money in integer cents, loads constants by tax year, and aims to show a calculation path — not a single opaque percentage. Status labels in the directory tell you whether constants are verified against primary sources or rely more on referenced formulas and user-supplied rates.
We refuse to invent unpublished thresholds. Clean-vehicle credit tools respect the statutory acquisition cutoff. Tariff helpers ask for HTS and additional duty rates instead of hard-coding a marketing “flat tariff” as law. Benefits estimators disclose when they use a federal baseline rather than every state option.

Salaried employees modeling take-home pay, freelancers checking self-employment tax, households comparing credits, importers sketching landed cost, and anyone trying to understand a 2026 rule change before they talk to a professional.
